Lemur Yoga: Cuddles Now Available in UK Hotel!
We already know that spending time with animals is therapeutic. And who wouldn’t want to spend time cuddling with furry cute creatures? Well, this is the market gap that Armathwaite Hall, a hotel and spa decided to fill. Set on 400 acres of land and with an adjoining wildlife park, getting back to nature here is all a part of the program. At the Lakeside Wildlife Park, guests can enjoy numerous activities, such as the Birds of Prey, Meerkat and Lemur Experiences. By the way, they also have fishing and archery! Oh, and walks with alpacas. Wholesome, right?
The novelty Lemur yoga class, named “Lemoga” is, in fact a part of this meet-the-wildlife wellness program. To bring people closer to nature and enhance stress-relief. As Carolyn Graves, owner of Armathwaite Hall, says: “Lemoga offers our guests the chance to feel at one with nature, at the same time joining in with the lemurs’ play time.” A-d-o-r-a-b-l-e, isn’t it?
Lemur Yoga Practitioners Can Even Learn from the Animals
Turns out, Lemurs practice a bit of their own yoga in their free time… As Richard Robinson, manager of the adjoining Lakeside Wildlife Park said, “when you watch lemurs they do some form of the poses naturally – that typical pose warming their bellies in the sunshine.” Who wouldn’t want to do the same? Sounds like a sports and therapy session rolled into one!
Another important – and true – statement is what the Wildlife Park manager said, “I don’t think you ever see an unhappy zoo keeper. We spend all our time with animals. We know how it makes us feel and if we can give a little piece of that to people – then great.” Truer words have never been uttered. Now, only one thing to hope for: hotel with yoga in Budapest that offer furry cuddles!
